A live crab was delivered in an aqua container from Moscow to Vladivostok
ETL Aqua LLC, for the first time in Russia, delivered a batch of live crab by rail from Moscow to Vladivostok in its own "Innovative aqua container" designed for the transportation of live aquatic organisms. The organization of railway dispatch at request of ETL Aqua LLC was handled by FESCO, which transports goods that require maintaining a certain temperature regime. The owner of the hydrobionts was the group of companies "Antey".
A live crab with a total weight of 1865 kg. was previously delivered from Murmansk to Moscow to a special overexposure base, where it was then immersed in our aqua container. Then the aquacontainer was delivered by road to railway terminal, where it was included in composition of an accelerated container train with a destination to Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port. From there, the container was taken to the recipient's warehouse in Vladivostok. The period of transportation from the moment of receiving the crab in the container until the moment of delivery to the consignee was 22 days.
Along the entire route, in order to maintain the continuity of operation of the refrigeration unit and the cleaning system, the aquacontainer was connected to a mobile electricity generator (Genset), and when transported by rail, it was controlled by team of mechanics accompanying the train.
